A successful candidate will have leadership and management skills as they relate to product software development and working within and leading large cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams. In this role, you will:
Lead, plan, coordinate, manage, and organize software/software integration of software for embedded, real-time medical device products.
Coordinate with systems engineering during hw/sw integration and systems integration.
Manage and administer the change control board during the product development lifecycle.
This role requires BSCS or BSEE and 8+ years experience in an engineering or scientific R&D environment; preferably with electronic medical devices. PMI PMP desired but not required. Must have Delivered Packaged Software experience.
Strong background in software development required. Experience in a Windows development environment preferred. Familiarity with project management methodologies and associated tools (Primavera) required. Familiarity with software and system engineering processes, and knowledge of CMMI required.
Ability to work as a team member and strong oral and written communication skills required. Experience with ultrasound technology desired; familiarity with digital hardware desired; ability to work closely with ultrasound systems, program, and hardware engineers required.
General Requirements:
Leads full scope solution plan development on the most complex projects or programs. Designs strategic project/program opportunities. Leads project/program management activities (defining scheduling, budget, risk, change, opportunity and resource management activities) for the most complex projects or programs. Leads the technical review of system design and documentation. Designs continuous improvement opportunities.
