Healthcare Systems Analyst
Location: San Francisco, CA
Full-Time
SUMMARY: The Systems Analyst supports computer systems and users to
increase operating efficiencies, enhance performance and improve access to
information for planning and decision-making purposes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Analyze workflows and procedures by comparing and contrasting current process
flows and business practices and make recommendations for improved procedures.
Makes recommendations for the design of new or modification of existing
systems and databases to meet changing demands in conjunction with the Network
Manager.
Provides Help Desk support for internal applications, including but not
limited to Accounting, Billing and Resident Management, Clinical, and Human
Resources software.
Maintains database files and tables used in the business functions such
as accounting, billing, human resources and medical records including
installation of patches/fixes provided by software application vendor in
accordance with internal change control processes.
Develops custom reports used for managing the daily activities and yearly
reporting requirements of the organization.
Demonstrated success managing internal and external relationships with
users, collecting their input and organizing and prioritizing to result in
predictable outcomes.
Analyze and test programs to increase operating efficiencies or enhance
performance of the organization.
Develop, design, test and implement small to medium size software
projects working closely with various departments and users within COMPANY.
Document system design specifications, test plans, and production support
procedures for software and systems already in place or in the planning and
implementation stages.
Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Knowledge and experience with software including:
Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003/.Net
Microsoft SQL Server 2000
C/C++, HTML desirable
Crystal Reports
Microsoft XP Office Suite (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Microsoft IIS
Clinical Software Applications
MAS500, Yardi, FRx Forecaster, property
management experience desired
Demonstrated experience, understanding and competence in coding, testing and
implementing computer programs, databases, or operating system procedures using
MSSQL including the use of reporting tools with emphasis in Clinical Software
Applications. Problem solving, analysis, research and troubleshooting ability in
a technical environment to diagnose, correct and test issues and support end
users. Proficient verbal and written English communication skills. Strong
interpersonal skills to maintain harmonious work environment. Ability to work
well independently and as a team member. Ability to understand and document
business requirements and to translate these requirements to logical system
solutions. Aptitude for understanding business applications from a functional
viewpoint. Understanding of finance and business relationships and
confidentiality principles and adherence to those principles. Foresight and
ability to anticipate customer and business needs. Ability to manage multiple
projects, set priorities and meet deadlines. Physical skills and ability to
perform work that requires continual sitting, walking, stooping, bending and
lifting up to 40 pounds.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree required with emphasis in computer science, management
information systems or math. A minimum of five years experience in information
technology including three or more years involving systems development.
California driver license, proof of insurance, clean driving record, and ability
to travel to multiple locations in the Bay Area.
