In order to meet our exclusive
goal we have created the position of Healthcare Data Analyst. The
Healthcare Data Analyst will be responsible for compiling, verifying, and
analyzing data for trend and other analysis related to health plan designs.
The Healthcare Data Analyst will participate in research studies, proposal and
design, review collection materials, run forecasting models, provide preliminary
forecast summaries, and draft client reports. This position will gain exposure
to a broad range of financial, clinical and analytical issues.
Qualifications:
B.S.
or higher degree in mathematics, statistics or other analytical field of study
3-5+ years of
clinical/healthcare experience with emphasis on utilization review, case
management, managed care and/or data analysis
Experience with provider coding
practices using CPT, ICD-9 codes and diagnosis codes
Strong Knowledge of PCs and
related software applications
Strong Knowledge of one or more
of the following: Brio, Cognos, Informatica, Crystal Reports, Crystal
Analysis, Business Objects - highly desirable
Strong Knowledge of Pivet
Tables in Excel - highly desirable
Strong math, analytical and
problem solving skills
Strong technical abilities
related to automated systems and operations
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design complex financial,
analysis, clinical, and operations reports.
Manipulate and extract cost,
utilization, and pharmacy data to develop reports
Test program logic to verify
accuracy of data and document report specifications
Analyze, research, and
interpret results, variances, and trends
Prepare and communicate
analysis and recommendations verbally and in writing to clients and senior
management
Develop measures for analyzing
and interpreting data
Develop models to project cost
or estimate savings
May help design, develop,
document and maintain databases
Research data anomalies and
work with IT to ensure integrity and quality of data
