Director Healthcare Revenue Cycle

Details: The Director of Accounts Receivable is responsible for managing the AR billing, collections and service operations for clients to increase the cash and reduce the debt in the most efficient manner possible.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implementation and monitoring of follow-up of all AR and collection functions, including reimbursements, cash flow of all payors, including Medicare, Medicaid and other government programs, commercial and managed care
- Develop policies and procedures and protocols for documentation of patient accounts and client reporting.
- Keeps hospital departments up to date on coding, payor contracts, regulatory and client changes.
- Create and oversee quality review program to ensure high consistency and quality for turn around time of all accounts worked; accurate documentation and correspondence; and to identify staff training and process improvement opportunities..
- Develop strong and effective relationships with constituent clients, vendors, and partners in order to exchange information and resolve issues of financial impact.
- Travels as needed
- Develops and coordinate educational programs
- Initiates Revenue Cycle Management Plan
- Develop staffing models for department while maintaining profitability in staffing models.
- Recruit, hire and develop department staff.
- Consistently train, motivate, and evaluate staff to achieve best results for client and company objectives.
- Ensures client HIPPA compliance.
- Performs job duties in the most ethical, effective and professional manner.
- Reports potential fraud and abuse to Corporate Compliance Officer.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Bachelor's degree from college/university or equivalent experience in Healthcare Management.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in financial services management within a healthcare organization.
- Superior knowledge of computer programs including MS Office, Visio, and Hospital Billing and Patient Accounting systems, Contract Management, and Document Imaging .
- Excellent written and verbal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of Medical Center personnel.
- CHFP (Certified Healthcare Financial Professional) and CPAM (Certified Patient Accounts Manager) preferred
