Chief Technology Officer, Healthcare IT Consulting

Overview: Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the company. The CTO works with Executive Management to grow the company through the use of technological resources. The CTO has overall responsibility for management of all technology infrastructure planning, strategy and deployment. Partners with Senior Management to manage overall IT day-to-day operations to improve infrastructure costs, performance and end user satisfaction, including internal and external clients. Qualified candidates must have a strong background in the healthcare IT industry, preferably with a hospital system or IT consulting firm in healthcare.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish the company's technical vision and leads all aspects of the company's technological development.
• Directs the company's strategic direction, development and future growth.
• Works in a consultative fashion with other business unit leaders as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversees technology architecture and influences technical and architectural aspects of company-wide business decisions.
• Ensures systems performance, establishes service level requirements and ensures SLAs are met.
• Manages IT resource requirements to ensure appropriate balance between tactical and strategic demands.
• Provides leadership in planning and managing computer operations and production support, systems and database administration, network operations, server systems, storage systems PC/.Desktop support and customer service.
• Implements IT continuous improvement programs within company guidelines.
• Manage strategic relationships with key IT product and services providers.
• Provides in-depth technical expertise for both tactical and operational initiatives.
• Demonstrates exemplary leadership skills to create and develop a high performance, productive, engaged work teams and a results-focused work environment.
• Establishes and implements short and long-range departmental goals and objectives.
